Christian Charity is one of the cornerstones of our organization.  As Hibernians, we strive to live like Christ, and that means rising to the challenge to provide for those in need.   Whether it be money, food, time, clothing–even support of civility among our fellow Americans, members of the Ancient Order of Hibernians have risen to the occasion. In these trying times we must remember that we advocate for the humane treatment of all as the Light Jesus brought to us and taught us to emulate.  We should remember that the Beatitudes are a set of teachings and blessings that Jesus gave in the Sermon on the Mount in the Gospel of Matthew. The messages found in the Beatitudes describe the foundation of the Christian faith. The purpose of the Beatitudes is to inspire Christians to live according to the traits Jesus describes. Some of these acts are simple, and some are grand, but they all form the cornerstone of the ideal Christian lifestyle. Therefore, living out the Beatitudes’ examples is very important for a Christian.   We must remember to live as Christ has taught us.
